It's really more than my poor photography skills that keep me from taking the snap of Beezer to match the one that I have in my mind of him. In my mind's eye the picture I see of him is when he lays in my lap all happy and purry and he tilts his head up to look at me with half closed eyes. A little twinkle of a meow lets me know that rubbing his chin and throat would most welcome. Of course I am more than happy to oblige.
And if I need to get up and get more iced tea, go to the bathroom, what have you, I can just lift him up, give him a hug and place him back down knowing that he'll just wait for me to get back, pick him up sit down and place him back in my lap. He never even really moves a muscle when I pick him up.
How can you take a photo of that kind of love and trust?

Beezer is one lucky little guy -- and awfully cute to boot!

Beezer looks like he is perfectly happy to pose any time, any place. No camera shy cat here!
A great photo essay. I love the ear that's turned towards the window, checking out his surroundings even as his full visual attention and emotional engagement is focussed on you. :)
you know...I've often tried to capture the look I get from my cat, but always seem to be unsuccessful. It's like trying to photograph a spirit that can't be caught on film.
