I got 3 new toys; 2 ball thingies which are soft and rolley and fun to chase and throw up in the air to bat and catch. I'm not as keen on the pillow thingie.
But I love the ball thingies. I had to hide the white one. Someone thinks its funny to throw and watch me run for it. Now only I know where it is.


I also got a new bed, which is good 'coz after all that play I need a looooog nap. Its fuzzy and soft and snuggly and a purr-fect fit. (I just like to sleep with my head on my arms.)

Oh, and I got some yummy treats ... I'm too sleepy to show you those right now.

Home for the Holidays

The San Francisco SPCA has an annual "Home For The Holidays" window display at the Macy's store in Union Square. the Windows have adoptable kittens and young cats along with one for puppies. The displays are cratively done to insure the animals are safe and shown to their best.

It was starting to rain so I didn't get a lot of pics, but I'm sure that these spunky fellows will be with their for-ever families soon if not by the end of the day.

Oh, I first saw my Beezer in one of the windows 6 years ago. So I have a real soft spot for them. (They also had some little cat toys they we selling as a fund raiser -- I got 3. Don't tell Beez --- they will go in his stocking!)

I've been a VERY good boy

Mmmmm ... this still smells like the catnip mousies I got last year. I've been a good boy, so I hope I get more this year. And some tuna treats. And would some new bubble wrap be too much to hope for? I love jumping on bubble wrap!

Beezer Cocktail

Adapted from a recipe by William "Chili Bill" Eichinger, bartender at Finnegan's Wake in San Francisco.

"And why Beezer?"

"Named for a polydactyl cat that just passed away, apparently. Six toes on every paw."
(Not my Beezer .... another Beezer Cat in San Francisco.
But how can a drink named after a cat named Beezer be bad?)

INGREDIENTS:

2 ounces bourbon (high-proof recommended)

1/2 ounce B & B liqueur

2 dashes Fee Brother's peach bitters

1 maraschino cherry, for garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS:

Fill a mixing glass two-thirds full with ice and add all of the ingredients. Stir for approximately 30 seconds, and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Add the garnish.

Curison--the response to the set was great. I've seen him in Richmond, and they just don't get it, last night it was spectacular; with the local crowd.

Jessica—Beauregard was awesome he should play it every time.

Jill—I was disappointed that he didn’t play ‘Father Winter’. (But she says this every show that he doesn’t play ‘Father Winter’ – ed.)

Mark—Johnny once again exemplified the positive force of nature he spreads through his music. (He liked it he really, really liked it – ed.)

Camp Out

In a few days I'll be winging my way to the high desert of Southern California and a little place called Pioneertown, to attend Cracker and Camper Van Beethoven Camp Out. I'll be posting about it all week ... excitement grows ... I'll also try to post about the Camp Out from there if I can find WiFi or at least some dial-up. I'll take my new camera and post as many pics as I can. This will be a new one; my stellar reviews plus pics! I hope that you can stand all the excitement.
