Tattle - Tail Tuesday

Kitties you just wouldn't believe the night I had!

I know that lots of you are hot - hot - Hot! But, here in the City By The Bay, when the fog rolls in at night it can get chilly. So, the other night it was a little cooler than I really like, so I thought that I'd snuggle under the covers. I wiggled and squiggled and wiggled some more until I was all comfie snuggled up right behind the mombean's knees, where it was warm. I was all purry and sleepy, just about to nod off when It happened.

It was a very loud sound that went ---
PPoooooooooottttttt!
It came for the big butt right next to mine head.

And then, well, bless mine paws and whiskers, there came the smell!
I think she was trying to poison me with toxic gas.
Like any normal kitty I did what came naturally I sneezed. A big wet sneeze! And I gots the H-E-double hockey sticks outta there.

She just giggled and said "Sorry Beezie. It musta been the bean burrito I had for lunch."

I spent the rest of the night on top of the covers. If you ever hear the words bean and burrito I suggest you run for your life.

"Hey! Your tuna poots ain't potpourri, ya know."

Hummpff. I just hope mine smeller isn't broke.

Ya Just Can't Get Good Help

Wow! Its been a whole month since I've added a post to mine blog!!
Ya know its not my fault. Its all the mombean's fault. She's been gone a lot lately. She goes out the door early and doesn't get home until late. She says, "I've been at work, I've just been doing a lot of overtime."

Yeah, I know, that really isn't much of an excuse. Lame I'd say.
No visiting mine friends, and leaving messages on their blogs. No surfing the web. GRRRRR!
So, I've been giving her the laser eyes of disapproval.

"Hey, I've been spending 10, or more, hours a day, eyeballs glued to a computer monitor, when I get home I'm tired. I just want a little down time with a sweet kitty in my lap."
Yeah, OK ... I do like a nice lap sit.

Do you remember a long time ago, there was a Benefit Bunny Bash? All the cool buns were there, they had all kinds of fun music & dancing (boy, those bunnies can binky!). They really liked my dancing and I won a really cool prize:
Its a special hand knit bunny to call my very own. It was made specially for me by the wonderful mombean of Miss Eve and Neville, two great Buns from Nottingham England. You can read all about their adventures at their bloggy Bunnies, Needles and Books.
Thank you very much!!
This is a great prize from great buns.

I call him Ginger Snap, because he is the color of ginger kitty like me and the ginger snap cookies mine mombean likes to eat.

He's very soft and snugglie with a fun poofy pom-pom tail, so I've been told. Mombean sez that he is something she called an air-loom. Whatever an air-loom is... It means that I don't get to play with him because ya just can't play with a air-loom. You have to keep it nice so that you can keep it for a long, long time. Mombean sez "Ginger Snap is a treasure. I can feel the bunny love that is in every stitch."
(Do you like the picture of him on mine Gizzy Quilt? There are many talanted and generous people in the blogosphere!)

Here I am working hard, this is what I do for overtime.
I'm gonna work on mombean to post more, so I can keep up with all mine friends.
See ya soon!

Life Is Grand

Hi There!
Just taking a little time outta mine day to pop in and post this fine award that mine pal Halloween gave me:

Thanks H.! You're a very sweet ladycat; and I'm glad that you have your yard back to yourself again.

However ..... it made mine mombean think of a song that she used to love long ago, also called Life Is Grand by the band Camper Van Beethoven.
You can listen to it here:

Yes, long ago, she would drink a lot of beer, hang out in sketchy nightclubs and dance and sing all night long to songs like this. (She was such a wild child in her youth). Worse, she's spent the whole weekend with the stereo cranked up loud dancing and singing in the livingroom to this and other old Camper songs. Frankly, I find it a bit embarrassing. What a sight. She ain't that young anymore!

Ok, go and listen to the song.... I've got stuff to do.

Oh yeah.
I pass this along to:
Daisy and Harley Coz Daisy has the sniffles and I want to help her to feel better.
Roxy and Lucky Coz I know that their mombean would never do anything so embarrassing.
Millie Coz she has a grand life in New Hampster!
And any cat who has ever been embarrassed by their bean.

Heat Wave

We is having a heat wave, a tropical heat wave. Its been like more than 80 degrees - F. It'll cool off tomorrow. I hopes mine fellow NorCal pals have been keepin' it cool.

Here I am hiding from the hot sun by trying to snooze under the futon.

Oh, OK I'll lay here on the floor so you can see mine face.
Yes, I will too blink if you are gonna use that flash!

Helpin' With The Chores

When Mine mombean got her big bum up and outta bed this morning she said:
"Well, Beezer, it's Saturday, we have to do the laundry. And that includes washing the sheets on the bed!"

I was still kinda sleepy, but when she gets in a mood to clean I know that the best thing to do is just get outta her way!
So, I just went to eat mine morning crunchies and find another place to sleep. After she pulled all-a the stuff off the bed and took it where ever it is she goes with the stuff.....

She came back with sheets that smell funny. 'Fresh and Snuggle clean' she calls it. I like it best when it smells like her. Mmmm mombean and sleepy time.......
I always help her put the sheets on the bed chase all the wrinkles away.

You won't get way from me you nasty wrinkle!

Sometimes it helps to stalk the hard to get ones!

With the comforter back on the bed its all done!
Phewww! That is hard work, but the really hard work is getting mine smell back on my spot of the bed.
*Yawn*
Yeah, I'll just be nappin' here for a while until it smells like me again.

"Yes, you go and get yourself a nice cup of coffee. I'll keep your seat warm until you get back."

Handsome and suave, its how I roll.

Back Again

Hi Gang!!

Sorry I've been away for so long, but me and the mombean have been sad and very busy for the past while. Her dadbean, I guess that would make me the grandkitty, gots very, very sick ands then he was in the hosiptal. Then he had to go to the bridge.

I've been giving her lots of purrs and lap-sits and snuggles. She says "I don't know how you know just when I need a purr and a kitty hug, but you are always right here when I really need you!"
Sheeshh ....... I'm a kitty we know everything about the beans we care for. She's starting to feel a little better and things are getting back to normal, so I can start visiting more and posting more. After all, its getting to be spring! All kitties love spring.

If you want to send purrs to mine kitty cousins in Mass-achoo-sits I know that they would like it. Spencer especially has been very sad; he was best buds with the grandbean. They used to sit and watch the Red Sox together, now he just sits all by himself in the chair they shared.

Home Work

My NOMS Pal Eduardo, the Snuggle Puggle has started a new business!
Even better than that he's adding employees. So far all of the staff are dogs (not that there is anything wrong with that).
But I think if what you's are makin' are high quality naps on the beans bed, what you's really need is a kitty.
Yeah, that's what I'm talkin' about. Above is some of mine world class chill-axin'. Yeah, I loves 'laxin & snoozin' on the down comforter.
Did you know that a down comforter is filled with feathers?
Its true!

I think this really shows mine highest quality snooze makin'.
Can't ya just hear the zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz's?
I gots mine paws all tucked up for a fine winter's nap.

If you's a kitty, or even a doggie (not that there is anything wrong with that) looking for a jobbie, and in this eck-o-nommy who isn't, just give Eduardo a visit and tell him you's wanna sign up.

Happy New Year Baby!

Happy New Year!
And Happy Birthday Fin!
It was Fin's idea for all of us to post some baby pictures. We's all New Year Babies today.
OK. This is the first-est picture of me. Taken the day after I came home. I was just 2 pounds and 8 weeks old.

You may go Squeeeeeeeeeee! now.

Who's that little cutie in the sink?
That's me, That's me!
I have loved playin' and sleepin' in the sink from the very first.
This is from the day I discovered paper bags.

This is the computer mombean had at the time. She's had, like, 2 or 3 computers since then. Now that she has a laptop I don't get to lay on the keyboard any more. But I still let her know when she's spendin' too much time payin' attention to it and not enough to me!

Secret Paws

My Secret Paw box arrived!!
Its from Kaze, Latte & Chase, Thank you all so much!
Actually, the box arrived yesterday, but mean ol' mombean said I had to wait until to day to open....
Open, open, open!

Ooooo! A lovely new purr pad. Purr-fect for a nice snuggle.

And what is this? It looks like some of your takeout leftovers.

(please ignore mombean's feet at the bottom of the picture. I mean white sweat socks and icky-tacky wornout brown clogs. She swears she only wears them in the house! She can be soooo tacky.)

Oooooo! These are lovely! Soft and fuzzy fortune cookies filled with nip! My fortune sez I'll have a happy new year.
And a red puff and sparkle ball, my faves!

Fewwwww. After chasing around with the fortune cookies like mad I need to rest. Ah, my new purr pad in a nice sunbeam, just the thing for a little snooze. Yeah, I gives the fortune cookies 4 paws up, they are really great.

Thank you Kaze, Latte & Chase this is the best Secret Paws ever!

Dewey The Library Cat

My great pals Kimo & Sabi had a fun contest on their blog and the prize was a great book: Dewey The Small-Town Library Cat Who Touched The World.
Thank you, thank you guys!

As you can see from the cover of the book, he's a Gorgeous Ginger mancat.
I think we look a little alike. But then all ginger mancat's are handsome!

This was a fun contest, and I'm really looking forward to settling on mine mombean's lap so she can read it to me. Reading together is always a special time, and this will be a lot more fun than the history and politics books she usually reads.

BONUS:
Photo shoot out-take!
Hey! Where's ma head??

Presents!

This fall mine cousins in Mass-a-chew-zits adopted 2 lil' kittens that needed a forever home. They came to their forever September 26, they were only 6 weeks old. Now, that is a little young to leave their catmom, but they was in a bad place and really needed a forever home.

Well, Jennie and Winston, the cutest black kittens ever, slurped up their milk replacer and munched their kitten chow and their V-E-T said they were amazingly healthy and should grow to be good cats.
They live with 2 older kitties, Spencer and Audrey, who have been helping them grow up, even though little kittens can be a pain in the tail with their antics.

In the house in Mass-a-chew-zits they have a big hot box called a Franklin Stove. See the beans make a fire in the box and it gets all warm. There is a big pillow in front of the hot box that is the warmest place in the house. Of course that is the best place to nap.

I thought that they would like to have some kitty Ham-icks so that there wouldn't be fights over the pillow. I sent the Ham-icks for their Holiday pressie. Oh, I sent some nip Raviolis too, and some treats for the big kitties!
(Click on the pics to big-i-fy)
They opened the package early, coz it was getting cold outside and all the kitties were trying to nap on 1 pillow. As, you can see they love the Ham-icks!
(sorry, the pics aren't great, the bean's don't do digital pics so these are pis of pics)

As you can see the kittens are still small enough to snuggle together on one Ham-ick! Aren't they the sweetest ever?
Or, they each have their own, Jennie likes the nip Raviolis too.
They like to chase each other back and forth and bounce on the Ham-icks like trampolines.

(Spencer was napping in a undisclosed location and wouldn't come out to have his picture taken.)

Big thanks to Forty Paws and the HotMBCs for helping me to give the best pressies ever!

Snow Day

Look at what mine good friends Diamond Emerald Eyes made for me!Its totally C-O-O-L!!
Thank you Diamond.

Because I'm a San Francisco kitty I never actually seen snow, but it does look fun.

{snort .... giggle .... laugh}

Hey, mombean, stop laughing at me! She grew up in New England where mine pal Millie lives. This is what is looks like when is snows at Millie's house. It sure looks cold. And its s'posed ta be wet too. Maybe mombean is right, its fun to look at, but ya don't want ta be in it.

I think I'll just nap in mine nice warm kitty cave.

The Look & An Award

Last week mine good pal Halloween gave me a super cool award and mine mombean hasn't done anything about helping me post it to mine bloggie.

Hummppppffffffff!
I disprove of such tardiness and had to do something about it.
So, I jumped on the desk, got in her face and gave her The Look.
As you can see it got results.

Thank you, thank you Halloween for this great award!
It says:
"With the Premium Dardos, recognize the values that each blogger shows each day in commitment to transmit cultural values, ethical, literary, personal etc. that, in short, demonstrate their creativity by alive thinking that remains intact from their letters and words."

This label implies two rules: the first, link the blog to which he/she received the award. The second - pick blogs to deliver the prize."
I's would like to hand it on to:

Darling Millie

&

Roxy & Lucky

Both are great blogs and they post everyday!
(I can only dream of making mine mombean blog that often.)
Thir bean's are sisters, so I guess it runs in the family. Also, they lives in New England (USA) and that is where mine mombean grew up, so she kinda feels like they are neighbors -- a few thousand miles from here. But, really, there is no distance in cyberspace is there?

Helpin' With The Chores

Hey!
I knows the mombean is cuttin' back and tryin' ta save, but....
The new trash bags she's got doesn't fit the trash basket.
Just look!
I's can get mine paw in here. What will happen if the trash does too?

Nothing good comes when ya try's ta help.
Ya knows, I think I'm just gonna act like nothing is wrong.
Ya thinks she'll notice?

(mombean note: He had his whole head in the hole at one point. Alas, I wasn't quick enough with the camara)

Farmer Beezer's Farm Report

Hi kitties!
Farmer Beezer here with the farm report.

I know that for all you kitties in the northern climates its harvest time for your outsides garden, and now its time to start thinking about your insides winter garden. I have have 2 lil' pun'kins fresh from the vine to dress up mine window garden spot. I thinks it adds a little somethin' special. (I has to get the mombean to wash the outsides of the window. She says its a pain in the 'tocks coz we lives on the 3rd floors)

As you can see I have a nice crop of yummy kitty grass for some green munchin'. I also have some nip comin' in for the dark and cold evenings ahead. Its soooo hard to just let it grow and not take a little munch to make sure that its growing right. But, it really is worth the effort. A little fesh nip makes any time brighter! (Also, mine mombean keeps moving it to a window shelf where I can't get to it. Bummer.)

So make sure that you have all your supplies for the winter window growing season ahead. I always suggest you get some fresh 'wheat berries' from the health food store to grow the best kitty grass coz its cheaper. You's just plant them like they's seeds -- coz they are!
Save some green papers for happy beans and grow munchy greens for a happy kitty!

Ta-ta for now,
Farmer Beezer
